Traffic With Mini Sites
Filed under: Free Web 2.0 Traffic; Tagged as: consumers, main site, marketers, mini sites, social media, traffic, Web 2.018 CommentsLet’s come back to my favorite subject traffic. What is the role of Mini Sites, and why we pay attention to them. They make any good or we waist our time?
We already know that sites can be:
- Large content
- Those are usually focus in information
- They get better search traffic and are better ranked
- These sites are called traffic gathering
- Mini Sites (we call them Satelitte Sites)
- Those are focus on selling something
- It is harder to obtain good traffic for them
- They have a better conversion to sales as they are unilaterally focus just on sell
Then it is a logic question which of them are better to use. Hi! this is a million dollar question as well.
If you do research you will find that the majority of marketers still relay on the old path: Forums, Ezine, Directory sites.
I remember when I was a kid my father told me: “Stop saying NO all the time, say YES but you know… and explain…”. I’ll apply his tactic now.
I am not suggested to eliminate those from your routine especially if you are prolific on them, but I suggest to combine Large Site with Mini Sites and use both.

This is what I mean:
- Decide which site can be your Main Site for a specific niche, this is good to be a large site but can be a squeeze page as well
- Make a list with all your Mini Sites per that niche
- Then link them as I did in the picture:
- From each Mini Site point with a link to main site
- From each Mini Site point with a link to other Mini Site in a way to avoid double linking
Tell me after one or two month how your traffic is doing. I am a big believer in experimenting methods. My way is not the only way, and some method which are great for me, can be less efficient for somebody else.
The tricky part will be how to choose the Main Site and Mini Sites.
Usually a Main Site can be: a Web Site, a Blog, and a Squeeze Page.
I typical Mini site can be: a lens, a hubpage, a tweet, a redpage post, or any other social media site in which you are allowed to put links, and other blog.If you really want to have the biggest traffic possible you have to take in consideration a lot of other factors related with the trends on marketing.
Until the next time all the best.

MIchey,
As you know, I am a huge fan of using the mini-sites and main sites structure known as the the link wheel. I have recently restructured all the linking in my mini-sites and main site for my leather store and am seeing traffic increase at my store.
Also, the tweet is becoming more powerful as we speak. Google will soon be indexing tweets. Think of how powerful that will be, especially when ReTweets come into play.
I have monthly sales at my e-commerce leather store and can only imagine how much a google indexed tweet will help in promoting those sales.

Everything dynamic and very positively!

It didn’t occur to me to call it a wheel but the concept sticks very well. Thanks for pointing it out, makes me feel I’m kind of on the right track.

The concept looks good and it will work wonders if it is executed properly. I have worked on a similar concept called Link Wheel, where there are a numbers small sites targeted to the Main site.

Great post and a truly PROVEN concept. This will and does work guys. Now if you really want to see more than 10X the value but using the same concept, I can give you the secret.
You have to use social bookmarking to give authority to the sites linking to your main site. And sorry to tell you that you may need other sites linking to the outer ring you have drawn. Now I know you are groaning because this is twice as much work, B-U-T it is 10X as effective!!
Think of it like this. If you have a website. You are telling the world you are good. If you have Sat sites pointing to you … that is like your family and friends telling the world you are good. If you have sites pointing to your other sites then that makes them Experts too and the Experts not your family is telling the world You (your site) is good. So everyone and Especially Google believes them
Faster way to say that. You need a wheel around your wheel. lol
Cheers to your XXL Success,
Kevin
